The exhibition was shown in the Munch Museum 25 May - 17 September 2000, and was arranged in conjunction with the City of Oslo's 1000-year anniversary. In addition to the pictures - drawings, prints and paintings - which have been thematically related to several of Henrik Ibsen's plays, the exhibition shows stage set designs, playbills, photographs, and - of course - Munch's portraits of the famous dramatist.
